According to Newsis, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul will summon BTS member Suga for questioning today, following a recent drunk driving incident. The K-pop star, who is currently serving as an alternative public service worker, will attend the police station after work hours.
Suga was booked on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act for driving an electric scooter while intoxicated in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the night of August 6th. Reports from MBC and YTN indicate that his blood alcohol level was 0.227%, significantly above the 0.08% threshold for license revocation.
This will be Suga's first official questioning by police since the incident. Yesterday, reporters were already waiting for him at the police station, sparking concerns about media conduct and leading some to wonder: will it be another reporters' fiasco?
More updates will follow as the investigation unfolds.
