G-Dragon, the celebrated K-pop star and founder of the 'Justice Foundation,' has showcased his impressive business skills with the remarkable appreciation of his Cheongdam-dong property in Seoul. Purchased in November 2017 for 8.85 billion won, the value of this building has surged by more than 8 billion won over the past seven years, underscoring G-Dragon's savvy investment strategy.
The property, which features six floors and one basement level on an area of approximately 96 pyeong (about 1,000 sq ft), was bought at a rate of 91.97 million won per pyeong. G-Dragon financed the acquisition with 5.85 billion won in cash and a 3 billion won loan, resulting in a total debt of 3.6 billion won.
Today, the market value of the building has significantly increased, with nearby properties recently selling for between 180 and 250 million won per pyeong. The building, known as 'March Rabbit,' is distinguished by its unique design and has earned architectural awards and international recognition.
G-Dragon's success extends beyond his music career, as evidenced by his strategic property investments. Recently, he also transferred trademarks for his stage names, G-Dragon and GD, from YG Entertainment. Fans are eagerly awaiting his new solo album, his first in seven years, which is nearing completion.
