XG has been riding a wave of success with their first pre-release track, "Something Ain’t Right," which debuted on July 26. The track quickly became a global hit, topping the Billboard Global Japan Songs Chart for two weeks and securing a spot on the Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks. Its success extended to YouTube, trending in 27 countries, and it claimed the top spot on the iTunes Dance Song Chart in 14 countries. XG (/ɛks-dʒiː/; Japanese: エックスジー; Korean: 엑스지; acronym for Xtraordinary Girls) is a dynamic Japanese girl group making waves from their base in South Korea. Formed by Xgalx, a subsidiary of Avex, XG burst onto the scene on March 18, 2022, with their all-English digital single "Tippy Toes." Their debut was followed by a series of high-impact releases, including "Mascara," "Shooting Star," and "Grl Gvng," each showcasing their unique blend of hip-hop and R&B.
XG made history by becoming the first female Japanese artist and the first Japanese group to enter the Mediabase US Radio Top 40.
