Rosé recalled the creative process, which began with a casual drinking game among friends and collaborators. "We were having fun in the studio, playing this game called ‘Apartment,’ and everyone got hooked on it," she said with a laugh. However, she had second thoughts later, wondering if creating a song inspired by a game was too lighthearted for the project.
Initially, Rosé wanted to scrap the song, but after receiving overwhelming enthusiasm from the team, she reconsidered. "I was about to delete it from my phone, but people couldn’t stop playing it," she admitted.
The turning point came after a meeting with Bruno Mars during his concert in Seoul. A longtime fan, Rosé humorously described how she persistently reached out to Mars, who eventually joined the project. "He had some incredible ideas for the song," she shared, expressing her excitement over the collaboration.
