South Korean girl group 2NE1 is set to make their highly anticipated return to SBS Gayo Daejeon after a decade.
According to IZE on December 4, 2NE1 will perform as a full group at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon on December 25 at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. This marks their first appearance at the year-end music festival since 2014.
Known for their electrifying performances and powerful live vocals, 2NE1 has left an indelible mark on SBS Gayo Daejeon. Their high-energy stages, featuring hip-hop-inspired music and impeccable showmanship, have often been hailed as some of the most memorable in the event’s history. Particularly, leader CL’s iconic collaborative stage with Lee Hyori in 2013 remains a legendary performance in K-pop lore.
After years of hiatus, 2NE1 reactivated their activities earlier this year, delighting fans with their world tour. In October, they successfully held their solo concert WELCOME BACK IN SEOUL at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, attracting a total of 12,000 fans over three days. The tour’s standout performances have gone viral on social media, rekindling their reputation as trailblazers in K-pop.
Their upcoming performance at SBS Gayo Daejeon has sparked immense anticipation among fans and industry insiders alike. As part of a star-studded lineup that includes STRAY KIDS, SHINee’s Key, NCT 127, ATEEZ, aespa, ENHYPEN,TXT and more, 2NE1’s stage is expected to be a highlight of the event.
