BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven his unmatched influence. His recent livestream, held during his holiday break, amassed a staggering 20.2 million cumulative real-time views—the highest since the launch of the global fan platform Weverse in 2019.
On December 18, starting at 11:39 PM, Jungkook delighted fans with an impromptu livestream. "I checked, and it seems I could go live today during my holiday. I’ve really missed you all, and it’s been so long that I’m feeling a bit nervous," he shared, warmly greeting fans.
During the livestream, Jungkook gave fans a glimpse into his life, even sharing details about his newly moved-in home. "I planned this livestream in advance because I knew I’d want to connect with you during my break. I’ve been running and doing weight training every day," he said, updating fans on his routine.
The livestream turned into a musical feast, as Jungkook performed over 30 songs upon fan request. Starting with Taeyeon’s "To. X" and Block B’s "Where Are You," he moved on to hits like Rosé’s "APT." and iKON’s "Magnetic." Jungkook also expressed his admiration for Big Bang by singing G-Dragon’s "Niliria" ,"Who You?" and "Home Sweet Home".

He further demonstrated his camaraderie with fellow BTS members by performing Jin’s "I’ll Be There" and V’s digital single "Winter Ahead (with Park Hyo Shin)."
The latter half of the livestream was dedicated to his solo discography, including "Standing Next to You," the title track from his album Golden, and his single "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)." To end the session, Jungkook hummed Skrillex, Justin Bieber, and Don Toliver’s "Don’t Go." "Today was so much fun. I hope everyone stays well. I’ll practice more and come back soon," he said, wrapping up the emotional session with heartfelt words.
Following the broadcast, hashtags related to Jungkook and the songs he performed dominated the trending topics on X (formerly Twitter). By 1 PM on December 19, the livestream had earned an astonishing 292 million hearts, breaking his previous personal record of 16 million real-time cumulative views set last year.
Jungkook’s massive success doesn’t end there. On December 13, he took home two awards at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards—Top K-Pop Album and Top Global K-Pop Song. Furthermore, Billboard’s year-end charts placed him at 60th on the Top Artist list, the highest rank for a Korean artist this year.
Jungkook’s livestream and recent achievements reaffirm his unparalleled presence in the global music scene, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.
