BLACKPINK’s Rosé continues to rewrite history as her collaboration with Bruno Mars on the hit track “APT.” continues to soar. On December 28, at approximately 2 a.m. KST, the music video for their chart-topping single surpassed a massive 700 million views on YouTube. Released on October 18 at 1 p.m. KST, the video reached this remarkable milestone in just 70 days and 13 hours.
This achievement marks a new chapter in K-pop history as Rosé has broken PSY’s long-standing record for the fastest K-pop music video to reach 700 million views. PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which held the previous record of 118 days, had stood unbeaten for over a decade.
Not only does “APT.” now hold this impressive K-pop milestone, but it also ranks as the fourth fastest music video to reach 700 million views on YouTube, behind only global hits like Adele’s “Hello,” Nicky Jam & J. Balvin’s “X (EQUIS),” and DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B.
Rosé’s groundbreaking achievement showcases her undeniable global influence and the worldwide appeal of BLACKPINK’s music. As her fanbase continues to grow, it's clear that her impact on the music industry is only just beginning.
Congratulations to Rosé on this monumental achievement!
