SHINee’s Taemin and fellow Big Planet Made artist, Badvillain, have become victims of a recent string of malicious cyberattacks. On December 15th, Taemin’s official YouTube channel was hacked and subsequently shut down. Just days later, on December 18th, the official YouTube channel of rookie group Badvillain also fell prey to a similar attack.

Big Planet Made, the agency representing both artists, confirmed the incidents, stating: “Today (18th) at around 8 AM, there was a hacking attack on the official YouTube channel of our artist Badvillain. We are aware of the situation and are taking immediate steps to restore the channel. We are working closely with YouTube to resolve the issue.”
The agency revealed that the hacker responsible for Badvillain’s channel attack is believed to be the same individual behind Taemin’s YouTube channel hacking. Following the December 15th attack on Taemin’s channel, Big Planet Made submitted a formal complaint to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, with plans to take swift legal action regarding Badvillain’s case as well.

The situation has sparked outrage within the agency and among fans. Big Planet Made expressed their determination to uncover the perpetrator and prevent further harm to their artists. “We cannot suppress our anger at these repeated attacks,” the agency said. “We will ensure thorough legal measures are taken to identify the hacker and their motives.”
Fans of SHINee and Badvillain have voiced their concern and frustration on social media, calling for stricter digital security measures and support for the affected artists.
This is not the first time Big Planet Made has faced such challenges. In September, several of their artists' official channels were also targeted by hackers. Despite implementing enhanced security protocols, including two-factor authentication and password upgrades, the agency admitted that such measures were insufficient to prevent the recent attacks.
Big Planet Made apologized to fans for the inconvenience and assured them that all efforts are being made to restore the channels and prevent future incidents. Fans eagerly await updates on the channels' recovery and hope for swift justice against the perpetrators.
