NJZ, the newly rebranded group formerly known as NewJeans, delighted fans with a fresh group selfie on February 9. Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein posted the cheerful photo on their official SNS, writing, “It’s been a while since we took a group selfie.” In the image, the members radiate bright smiles while flashing a ‘V’ sign for the camera.
This marks their first public appearance since announcing their name change to NJZ on February 7. The group is gearing up for their highly anticipated debut under the new name, with a fresh track set for release on March 23. Their first live performance as NJZ will take place at the Complex Live concert in Hong Kong from March 21 to 23.
Minji expressed her excitement, stating, “Performing as NJZ for the first time is an important milestone. We can’t wait to showcase our new music to fans worldwide.”
Meanwhile, the group’s departure from their former agency, ADOR, remains legally contested. NJZ declared their contract termination last November, citing ADOR’s alleged failure to fulfill obligations. However, ADOR insists the contract is still valid and has taken legal action to challenge the members’ independent activities.
As NJZ embarks on a new chapter, fans eagerly await their debut under the new name. Will their fresh start lead to greater success? Stay tuned.
