Stray Kids are officially taking over Japan—both on stage and on rails. The global K-pop sensation has kicked off promotions for their highly anticipated Stray Kids Japan Stadium Tour with four massive shows scheduled at Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA on May 10, 11, 17, and 18, marking their first-ever Japanese stadium concerts since debut.
With an estimated 50,000 attendees per night, the group is expected to perform for a combined crowd of 200,000 fans in Shizuoka alone. This marks the third Japanese leg of their world tour, following sold-out shows at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, where they drew over 315,000 attendees late last year.
After the success of their second Japanese album GIANT, expectations are sky-high. GIANT topped both the Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan Hot Albums, selling over 335,000 copies, and was awarded double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ)—solidifying Stray Kids’ growing dominance in the Japanese music market.
In celebration, Stray Kids have teamed up with JR Central for a spectacular regional takeover from April 28 to July 7, transforming train stations and carriages into a STAY-filled wonderland. Dubbed Collaboration Phase 2, the campaign follows last year’s successful promotion for their second Japanese album GIANT.
