Overview
NCT (Neo Culture Technology) is a South Korean boy group formed by SM Entertainment. Unlike traditional K-pop groups, NCT features a unique concept of having an unlimited number of members divided into various subunits. The group's name reflects its futuristic and innovative approach to the K-pop industry. As of now, NCT operates with six subunits: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT DoJaeJung, and NCT Wish.
NCT U, the first subunit, debuted in April 2016 with the song "The 7th Sense." NCT 127, named after the longitude of Seoul, debuted in July 2016 and is known for its diverse music styles and energetic performances. NCT Dream, initially a teenage unit, debuted in August 2016 and has since evolved with the members aging up. WayV, based in China, debuted in January 2019 and is known for their Mandarin releases. NCT Wish, the latest addition, aims to expand NCT's influence in Japan. NCT DoJaeJung, debuted on April 17, 2023 Consists of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo.
NCT has gained international recognition for their experimental music, innovative concepts, and large number of talented members. Their diverse discography spans multiple genres, and their dynamic performances continue to capture the attention of fans worldwide.
Latest Release - Golden Age (2023):
In 2023, NCT released their third full-group album, Golden Age, featuring members from all sub-units. The album includes the title track "Baggy Jeans," which combines hip-hop beats with melodic hooks, and showcases the group's synchronized dance moves and strong vocal performances. Golden Age has been praised for its diverse range of tracks, from high-energy dance anthems to emotional ballads, highlighting the versatility and global appeal of NCT as a group.
